Other Tips for Visiting Starlodge Peru
Here are some other things we think you should know before your stay.
- Acclimatize first: Spend a day in Cusco or the Sacred Valley before your climb
- Pack light: You’ll need to carry your belongings up! We recommend a day pack like this.
- Wear proper footwear: Closed-toe shoes are essential!
- Bring a camera: This is one of the most photogenic stays in the world

This is NOT Skylodge
Skylodge is their sister property which sits much higher on the mountain. That property requires a climb up a via ferrata to get to the pods. They also offer a zipline down from the pods at the end of your stay.
If you want to experience Skylodge but stay at Starlodge you can book a package that allows you to climb the via ferrata up to have lunch at Skylodge and then either take the via ferrata or zip line down. You will then be transferred to Starlodge property for your stay.
