Big Rock Cabin
Cabinscape has a brand new cabin added to their already very impressive repertoire. Big Rock Cabin is an off the grid, Eco friendly paradise located on a beautiful remote lake in Haliburton, Ontario!
Big Rock Cabin features all of the modern luxuries from home in a remote forest setting. This cabin is equipped with a full kitchen to create some amazing camp meals, bunk beds that sleep three and make you feel like a little kid again and a full bathroom to pamper you while roughing it in the woods!
Every detail of this cabin was expertly thought of, and for a tiny cabin it actually feels quite roomy. Hands down our favorite feature of Big Rock Cabin is the pass through feature in the kitchen that allows you to have both indoor and outdoor dining space. This table also doubles as a table to play one of the many board games that the owners have left at the cabin for guests!
Outside of the cabin you will find a large fire pit with chairs to enjoy the evenings, as well as a dock looking out over the lake. Although the cabin doesn’t sit right on the lake, it is just a few second walk down the property to enjoy the waterfront.

Things To Know Before You Go:
Big Rock Cabin shares the lake with 4 other Cabinscape cabins! Although they are spread out quite a ways from each other don’t be alarmed if you see other people enjoying the lake!
This cabin is located on a remote logging road and is only accessible by vehicles in the summer season. It is also narrow and not paved. The Cabinscape team recommends only tackling the road to Big Rock Cabin if you have a 4 Wheel Drive Vehicle or All Wheel Drive Vehicle. If you do not have a vehicle that can tackle a rough road, there is a private parking lot about 3 Km away from the cabin. From there, you hike in!
The tap water is not safe for drinking. The Cabinscape team provides fresh drinking water for you. Should you run out, there is a Camp Store located just before the turn off to get to the Cabin! You can buy more drinking water here.
Make sure to check the current open fire protocols for the area. If you plan on having a campfire, ensure that you put it out completely before leaving the fire. Firewood is not provided but can be purchased from the Haliburton Forest Camp Store prior to entering the Cabinscape area.
