This incredible Caribbean Island is a true paradise with towering volcanic mountains, lush rain forests and surrounded by both the Caribbean Sea and Atlantic Ocean. Things To Know Before You Go
Best Time To visit
The peak season is from December to May! The dry season is considered February to May, however when we visited in early January, we had a few short rain showers in the morning and then sunshine all day!
Currency
The Eastern Caribbean Dollar is the official currency of St Kitts. However, USD and most major credit cards are widely accepted at establishments.
Tipping
Tipping in St Kitts is appreciated and encouraged. We did notice that most restaurants automatically add an 18% gratuity on their bill so if ensure to double check before signing the check.
How to Get around
When you visit St Kitts, you will notice that they drive on the left side of the road and in the right side of the car. Accommodations
Park Hyatt St Kitts is a stunning hotel located on the southern most tip of the Island. All of their buildings are no more than 3 floors high and spread out across the entire property, which means that each room feels very luxurious and private.
There are a variety of room categories for every occasion and budget. Whether you are on a romantic couples getaway, celebrating a special occasion or visiting as a family, any room at the Park Hyatt St Kitts would be perfect!
Plunge Pool Rooftop Suite
We stayed in the luxurious Plunge Pool Rooftop Suite. This suite has an expansive living space and bedroom with floor to ceiling windows. The bathroom is fully equipped with double sinks, a soaking tub and walk in shower. There is also a large patio with plenty of modern lounge furniture, and the show stopping plunge pool overlooking the ocean and Nevis!
Bi-Level Penthouse Suite with Private Pool
With only two Penthouse Suites on the property, these exclusive rooms are perfect for those are looking for extra privacy during their stay or for a place to host a small gathering. There is a large living space, dining room and butler’s pantry this is the perfect space for hosting. With a lounge area, large plunge pool and sun loungers on the second level, this is the perfect place to look out over the ocean towards Nevis.
Three Bedroom Presidential villa
With over 5,280 feet of living space, this Villa is the pinnacle of luxury. With 3 bedrooms, a games room, large living space, and a plunge pool of your dreams this would be an excellent Villa to share with family or friends for an epic getaway in St Kitts!
Dining at Park Hyatt St Kitts
The Great House
Located at the heart of the Resort, this beautiful restaurant has floor to ceiling windows overlooking the pristine beach and the Island of Nevis. This restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and offers a variety of local dishes and North American favorites. There is indoor and outdoor seating, and reservations for dinner is encouraged.
For breakfast, you have the option of A La Carte or Buffet Breakfast!
Fisherman’s Village
This open air restaurant gets it’s inspiration from traditional huts that once sat on the coastline of St Kitts. Located over the ocean, you will dine in an open air setting for lunch and dinner! The menu is full of local cuisine and familiar favorites.
Stone Barn
The Stone Barn is an adults only, dinner only restaurant at Park Hyatt St Kitts. There is the option to order A La Carte or try the 7 course chef tasting menu. There is also a wine pairing available for the tasting menu as well!
In Room dining
Is there anything better than breakfast by the pool, or dinner on the terrace? With the in room dining available from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM, there are options for every meal and snacks in between to be delivered directly to you so you can fully relax on vacation. We loved our breakfast delivered to our room!
Things To Do
soak Up The sun On the Beach
The pristine white sand and clear waters of the Caribbean sea await you at Park Hyatt St Kitts! Grab a lounge chair right in the sand and enjoy a day of salt, sunshine and sand.
Take a Dip in one of the two pools
There are two pools on the property, one that is family friendly and one that is exclusively for adults. Both have incredible views of the ocean and Island of Nevis!
If you are looking for an elevated experience while lounging by the pool, we highly recommend renting a private cabana for the day! The cabana’s are surrounded by a waterfall feature and private entrance to a small pool. Included with the cabana is a cooler full of drinks, chips and dip and two alcoholic beverages.
Rum Tasting
Learn about the origins of rum from one of the knowledgeable bartenders at Park Hyatt St Kitts! We got to try a variety of different rums from different Caribbean Islands. We highly recommend adding this to your itinerary during your stay!
Join In On a Cooking Experience
Looking to learn more about local cuisine? Joining one of the cooking experiences at Park Hyatt St Kitts will give you a glimpse into the rich culinary culture of the Island. We learned how to make the incredibly delicious national dish of St Kitts: Stewed saltfish with spicy plantains and coconut dumplings.
Have a Spa Day
Take your vacation to a whole other level of relaxing with a spa treatment at Sugar Mill Spa! Visiting as a couple? Book a relaxing couples massage! We enjoyed an afternoon of relaxation at the Spa and we highly recommend adding the couples massage to your trip itinerary.
